Everything About Your First Lesson
Whether you've ridden for decades or it's your very first time on a horse, you have found a program that will take your learning to the next level. Our clients range from beginners to those successfully competing in the jumpers, equitation and hunters. All clients start off in private lessons so Elizabeth can evaluate your abilities and best lesson horse fit. Lessons are offered Monday through Friday, and occasionally weekends via Calendly up to 4 weeks ahead.
Private lessons are $75 and groups are $60. Private lessons are 45 minutes and groups typically run for an hour. Night and Day Riding has a mixture of children and adult clients.
Your first lesson will include an introduction to an assigned horse, a small tour of the barn and instructions on how to get ready for your lesson, and of course riding!
Once clients are able to safely get ready on their own, they may arrive 20 minutes before their lesson to get ready.
Lessons are a mixture of flat work focused on mechanics and equitation as well as jumping for students that can walk, trot and canter in a safe manner. We are a hunter jumper barn but value proper flatwork, which benefits both horse and rider. Lesson horses never jump over a maximum of 2'3" due to wear and tear, which is industry standard. Leases or sales are possible for clients looking to jump higher.
